The primary goal Michael H. Zhu, Esq. PC is to help busy practitioners and individual clients tackle the often complex task of preparing or responding to a substantive motion or an appellate brief. We strive to protect your interests through a high-quality, efficient, and cost- effective manner, while providing extensive knowledge, orientation to detail, and aggressive legal representation.

Services

Appellate Practice

In New York, once an adverse order or judgment has been served, a party has a very limited time period to take an appeal. Contact Michael H. Zhu, Esq. PC so we can commence our work to zealously prosecute your appeal or defend an appeal brought by others, in an effort to obtain the maximum benefit and relief you are entitled to under the law.

As part of our professional appellate services, we can assist you in:

Post-trial Practice

Where a case has been tried and a jury verdict has been rendered, but before a judgment has been entered, a losing party can seek post-trial relief by motion practice to have the jury verdict modified or overturned, and if applicable, seek a new trial on liability or damages. Our efforts in this regard have proved very successful over the years and we have saved our clients significant amounts of time and money, because it has been our experience that the successful outcome of a post-trial motion will facilitate a favorable settlement in lieu of further litigation.

Substantive Motion Practice

A well-researched and well written attorney’s affirmation in support of, or in opposition to summary judgment is crucial in preserving a litigant's rights and can often be the difference between winning the motion or losing it and having your case dismissed. Contact Michael H. Zhu, Esq. PC so we can assist you in preparing your next motion or opposing an adversary's motion seeking summary relief.
